Hebrew Courses

​​Hebrew Homepage (HHP) is a highly successful online Hebrew learning platform pioneered by Jewish Journeys, an initiative of The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan. Participants study with a tutor one-on-one using Zoom, screensharing and various EdTech apps for weekly 30-minute sessions - from the convenience of their own homes. 

We offer curriculum for beginning readers, students who want to improve their reading fluency for Prayerbook Hebrew, and Modern Hebrew for beginners.

JJConnect Courses

​JJConnect uses the HHP online platform to offer seven courses that cover various Jewish subjects.  Each JJConnect course meets virtually with a tutor for 12 weekly 30-minute sessions. These can be paired with Hebrew courses or registered for separately. Click on Courses for full descriptions

Hebrew Home Page was an exceptionally effective, compelling and successful addition to Sandy's Jewish educational experience. Having a personal, individualized relationship with a tutor not only allows for a more nuanced and targeted teaching approach; it also creates a substantive relationship between student and teacher that enhances the experience and allows for flexibility and creativity. Sandy's reading became more fluid, his comprehension grew and his comfort with Hebrew increased.

  • Hebrew Homepage was a wonderful and effective program that reached our young enthusiastic Hebrew learners at their unique developmental levels and helped our children hone their language skills at their individual pace. I was a bit weary when we signed up for Hebrew Homepage, as I didn't know how our children would respond in a 'remote' learning environment, but the steady lesson-building progressed surprisingly smoothly. Having worked with several HHP tutors over the past years, our children were encouraged by caring and gifted teachers, who knew how to use positive reinforcement to motivate passionate learners

Our son Ellis truly loved working with Hebrew Homepage.
​ He found it very fun (the videos were very engaging), interesting and thought provoking. 
​Ellis enjoyed writing down his thoughts about the subject that was presented each week.

Thank you for your program. It really works very well to have a shorter, more focused and individualized Hebrew learning experience.  My son did an amazing job with his bar-mitzvah. Frankly, he surprised me!  If it wasn't for you, he would not have had such command and presence with his prayers.
