Dr. Cindy Dolgin has been teaching Hebrew language and Judaic studies as well as English literature and writing to children and adults ever since she was a teenager. After graduating from the U. of Michigan (Go Blue!!), living in Tel Aviv, and working in Hi-tech, she returned to New York and to Jewish education, earning a Master's Degree from the Jewish Theological Seminary and a Doctorate from Columbia University. In addition to teaching, Dr. D. (that’s what most kids call her) has also been a K-8 Judaic studies principal, lower school division head, and K-12 Head of School at Jewish day schools in the New York area. Most of all, Dr. D loves working one-on-one with all kinds of kids, getting to know them, learning about the zillions of ideas, facts, and interests that make each child unique and fabulous, and connecting them with the language of the Jewish people and thousands of fascinating Jewish facts, ideas, and stories. With Dr. D, learning is deep and time flies. Dr. Dolgin teaches all courses offered by Hebrew Home Page on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 - 6:30 PM.

I'm an Israeli who grew up in a clergy household, immersed in a Jewish way of life. I am fully fluent in Hebrew, both Modern and Biblical, and am more than familiar with Israeli and American Jewish culture. I delight in finding ways of engaging my students and helping them fall in love with their heritage. I tailor teaching methods to each student individually. In addition, I have experience working with students with special needs (dyslexia, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder). Whatever their challenges, I will work with your student to ensure that your educational goals are met.

I'm Tal! (They/ them) I've been teaching via HHP for nearly a decade and recently completed my master's degree in plant ecology. I enjoy teaching Hebrew with a personal touch, and I especially love preparing students for their B. Mitzvah/ coming of age, since I taught myself to read Torah when I was 18 and find it fun and rewarding. I enjoy preparing students for their special day with Off the Bima!
